Sacred places like a fire-god shrine, Ibe and praying nooks are scattered around the grounds. Artifacts have been found on the site that suggests trading with the Ming and Geng dynasties in China. This can be confirmed by the castle being mentioned in the Ming-jitsu-roku, published in China around the 14th century.
